I’m motivated to work within trauma and behavioural disorders and I have specialised in drumming, rhythm and body movement for recovery and rehabilitation with survivors of trauma, with extensive research around the use of rhythm, body movement and drumming.
I’m passionate for the research into emotional regulation and behaviour disorders using rhythm, movement and music as a management tool in altering mood and influence behaviour patterns in support of self-regulation. I am committed to working with young people with behavioural disorders and continuing research to gain more understanding when working with young people with ADD, ADHD and ASC.
I am passionate about using music to help young people within mental health in support of their emotional and mental well-being.
My approach
I work within a psychodynamic framework, holistically, with a person and music centred approach.
